In Sunday afternoon MLB interleague action, the Houston Astros and the Atlanta Braves will wrap up their series from Truist Park. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. The Astros (81-68) are two games above .500 on the road and are clinging to a half-game lead over Seattle for the top spot in the AL West Division. Last night, 1B Christian Walker hit a two-run blast and scored twice to lead Houston to a 6-2 road triumph.

Thirty-one year old southpaw Framber Valdez (12-9 3.42 ERA) will head to the hill for the Astros in this contest. Houston has dropped four of Valdez’s previous five starts and he has surrendered 21 runs over his last 30 plus innings.

Braves Preview

The Atlanta Braves are looking to snap a four-game losing streak and have been the most disappointing team in the majors. During Saturday’s home loss, 1B Matt Olson clobbered his 24th long ball and scored both Atlanta runs. SP Bryce Elder (7-10) was tagged for six runs in four plus innings and took the loss for the Braves (65-83), who fell to 35-39 at home.

Atlanta manager Brian Snitker will turn to twenty-seven year old southpaw Joey Wentz (5.61 ERA) on Sunday. Last time out, Wentz was roughed up for eight runs (6 ER) and recorded just seven outs during an ugly 18-2 home loss versus Seattle.
