The Astros (21-31) have dropped 17 of their first 26 road games and are six games off the pace in the AL West Division race. On Friday, C Christian Vasquez hit a solo shot and added an RBI single to lead Houston to a 4-2 road victory against Chicago.

Twenty-seven year old righty Kai-Wei Teng (2.61 ERA) will make his fourth start of the year for the Astros. Teng (31 IP), who has also made 13 appearances out of the bullpen, has struck out 30 batters and sports a sparkling 1.10 WHIP.

Cubs Preview

The Chicago Cubs are looking to snap a six-game losing streak and have fallen two games back of NL Central Division leading Milwaukee. During Friday’s home loss, Chicago batters went 0-for-9 with runners in scoring position and left 11 men on base. OF Pete Crow-Armstrong crushed a two-run blast to right field in a losing effort for the Cubs (29-22), who fell to 18-9 at home.

Chicago manager Craig Counsell will give the nod to veteran right-hander Colin Rea (4-2 4.98 ERA) on Saturday. In his last start, Rea gave up four runs and lasted just four plus innings during a 9-8 road loss against the White Sox.
