Last night, Yordan Alvarez and Zach Dezenzo each went deep to power Houston to a 10-0 road victory against Cincinnati. Zach Cole added a three-run blast in the ninth inning to seal the deal for the Astros.

Twenty-six year old righty Spencer Arrighetti (4-0 1.96 ERA) is off to a splendid start to the year for the Astros. Through 23 innings of work, Arrighetti has struck out 25 batters and owns a respectable 1.35 WHIP.

Reds Preview

The Cincinnati Reds are looking to snap an eight-game losing streak and have plummeted into the NL Central Division basement. During Friday’s home loss, Cincinnati batters managed just five hits and went 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position. SP Nick Lodolo (0-1) gave up four runs in five plus innings and took the loss for the Reds (20-19).

The Reds will counter with flame-throwing righty Chase Burns (3-1 2.20 ERA) in the middle game of this series. Last time out, Burns fired seven shutout frames and fanned seven batters during a 1-0 road loss against Pittsburgh.
