Twenty-seven year old righty Kai-Wei Teng (4.03 ERA) will make his tenth start of the year for the Astros. Ten, who has also made 13 relief appearances in 2026, has walked 27 batters and surrendered nine home runs across 60 plus frames.

Tigers Preview

The Detroit Tigers have split their previous ten games and are 7.5 games out of first place in the AL Central Division. During Friday’s home victory, OF James Outman crushed a three-run blast to stake Detroit to a 7-0 advantage after four innings. Rookie SS Kevin McGonigle reached base three times and scored a pair of runs for the Tigers (35-47), who improved to 23-19 at home.

After spending his first eight years with Houston, thirty-two year old southpaw Framber Valdez (4-5 3.91 ERA) is in his first season with the Tigers. In his last start, Valdez (6 IP) allowed one run and retired eight batters by strikes during a 5-3 home victory versus New York.
