In Saturday afternoon MLB interleague action, the Los Angeles Angels will battle the Miami Marlins from LoanDepot Park. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. The Angels (45-71) have dropped 38 of their first 58 road tilts and are tied with the Athletics for last place in the AL West Division. Last night, All-Star OF Mike Trout and 1B Nolan Schanuel each went deep to power Los Angeles to a 4-3 road victory against Miami. Los Angeles RP Jose Fermin gave up three hits in the final frame, but was able to notch his first save of the year.

Rookie right-hander Walbert Urena (7-7 2.54 ERA) will make his 19th career major league start for the Angels. Through 99 plus innings, Urena has limited opponents to six long balls and fanned 95 batters while posting a respectable 1.25 WHIP.

Marlins Preview

The Miami Marlins are looking to snap a four-game losing streak and are 3.5 games back in the race for the final National League Wild Card spot. During Friday’s home loss, Miami batters went 3-for-11 with runners in scoring position and left 13 men on base. 1B Kyle Stowers went 4-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs for the Marlins (58-59), who fell to 34-24 at home. Miami 3B Leo Jimenez had an RBI single in the ninth inning as part of the team's 12-hit attack.

The Marlins will counter with 2022 National League Cy Young Award winner Sandy Alcantara (12-6 3.68 ERA) on Saturday. Miami has won Alcantara’s previous two starts and he has not allowed a run across his last 13 frames.
