Blue Jays Preview

The Toronto Blue Jays have split their previous ten games and are nine games out of first place in the AL East Division standings. During Friday’s home victory, Toronto jumped on the scoreboard first on a Kazuma Okamoto RBI single that scored George Springer. SP Dylan Cease (3-1) fanned ten batters across seven shutout frames to earn the win for the Blue Jays (17-21), who improved to 11-8 at home.

Twenty-two year old righty Trey Yesavage (1-1 0.96 ERA) will make his sixth career major league start for the Blue Jays. Through 23 plus innings, Yesavage has retired 25 batters by strikes and has not allowed a home run.
