Astros Preview

The Houston Astros have split their first 18 home games and are four games off the pace in the AL West Division race. During Tuesday’s home victory, DH Christian Walker and 3B Braden Shewmake hit solo shots of SP Shohei Ohtani to provide the Houston offense. SP Peter Lambert (2-2) fired seven shutout frames to earn the win for the Astros (15-22).

Houston skipper Joe Espada will turn to veteran right-hander Lance McCullers Jr. (2-2 6.32 ERA) in the series finale. In his last start, McCullers Jr. (6 IP) gave up three runs and fanned nine batters during an 11-5 road victory against Baltimore.
