The National League Championship Series will get underway on Monday night, when the Los Angeles Dodgers travel to American Family Field to take on the Milwaukee Brewers. The third-seeded Dodgers have won four straight NL West Division titles and are looking to capture their third World Series Championship in the last six years. On Thursday, Los Angeles benefitted from a walk-off error in the 11th inning to defeat Philadelphia by a 2-1 final score.

Two-time Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell (5-4 2.35 ERA) will head to the hill for the Dodgers on Monday. Last time out, Snell fired six shutout frames and fanned nine batters during a 4-3 road victory against Philadelphia.

Brewers Preview

The Milwaukee Brewers have advanced to the playoffs in seven of the last eight seasons and are in search of their first World Series title. The Brewers ranked second during the regular season with a 3.58 team ERA and won an impressive 52 of 81 home games. On Saturday, Andrew Vaughn’s fourth inning solo shot propelled Milwaukee to a 3-1 home victory versus Chicago. Bryce Turang and William Contreras also went deep for the Brewers.

Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy has not announced a starting pitcher for the series opener. Veteran southpaw Jose Quintana (11-7 3.96 ERA) is a likely option and gave up five runs in 12 innings versus the Dodgers this season.
