Three-time NL Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw (9-2 3.06 ERA) has found the Fountain of Youth. The Dodgers have won Kershaw’s previous five starts (28.2 IP) and he has allowed just five runs total over that stretch.

Pirates Preview

The Pittsburgh Pirates have won seven of their last ten games and are trying to climb out of the NL Central Division basement. On Sunday, Pittsburgh batters struck out 12 times and left nine men on base during a 5-2 road loss against Boston. SP Mitch Keller (6-13) gave up four runs in five innings and took the loss for the Pirates (61-77).

The Pirates will counter with twenty-six year old righty Carmen Mlodzinski (3.86 ERA) in the series opener. Last time out, Mlodzinski (3 IP) issued three walks and allowed a run during a 2-1 road victory against St. Louis.
