The 2025 World Series will get started on Friday night, when the Los Angeles Dodgers travel to the Rogers Centre to take on the Toronto Blue Jays. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. The Dodgers are fresh off a sweep of Milwaukee in the NLCS and allowed just four runs total. In Game Four, MVP Shohei Ohtani homered three times and fanned ten batters across six shutout frames to lead Los Angeles to a 5-1 home victory.

The Dodgers rank third in the postseason with a 2.45 ERA and lead all playoff teams with a sparkling 1.02 WHIP. Two-time Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell (5-4 2.35 ERA) will head to the hill for the Dodgers in the series opener. Last time out, Snell allowed one hit and lasted eight shutout innings during a 2-1 road victory against Milwaukee.

Blue Jays Preview

The Toronto Blue Jays won 54 of 81 home games during the regular season and are looking to capture their first World Series title since 1993. In Game Seven of the ALCS, George Springer delivered a go-ahead three-run blast in the seventh inning to lift Toronto to a 4-3 home victory versus Seattle. Daulton Varsho went 2-for-4 and drove in the other run for the Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays rank tenth out of 12 playoff teams with a 4.36 ERA and have surrendered an alarming 18 home runs through 97 innings. Rookie right-hander Trey Yesavage (1-0 3.21 ERA) will take the ball for the Blue Jays on Friday. Through 15 postseason innings, Yesavage has given up seven runs and struck out 22 batters.
