Twenty-eight year old righty Tyler Phillips (3.09 ERA) will head to the hill for the Marlins in this contest. Control has been an issue for Phillips, who has walked 30 batters and served up six long balls across 58 plus frames.

Cardinals Preview

The St. Louis Cardinals are looking to snap a four-game losing streak and have fallen eight games out of first place in the NL Central Division. During yesterday’s home loss, St. Louis batters grounded into three double plays and left eight men on base. SP Andre Pallante (9-5) was roughed up for five runs in six plus innings and took the loss for the Cardinals (42-38), who fell to 22-21 at home.

Twenty-nine year old righty Kyle Leahy (5-4 4.24 ERA) has shown some promise in his first season as a starter for the Cardinals. Last time out, Leahy fired six plus shutout frames and allowed just three hits during a 4-3 home loss versus Arizona.
