On Sunday, Washington SP Brad Lord (4-8) was tagged for seven runs in three innings during a 7-4 home loss versus Tampa Bay. 3B Brady House went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs in a losing effort for the Nationals (53-83), who fell to 26-42 at home.

Rookie right-hander Ryan Gusto (7-7 5.67 ERA) will make his third start of the year for the Marlins. Gusto, who was acquired in a trade with Houston, has been roughed up for 17 runs over his last 15 plus innings.

Miami OF Kyle Stowers is currently on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain and will not play in this series. Through 137 games, Miami ranks 17th in OPS and 17th in runs scored. For the season, Washington ranks 25th in OPS and 23rd in runs scored.
