The Brewers (45-29) are looking to snap a three-game losing streak and hold a five game lead over St. Louis for first place in the NL Central Division. Last night, Milwaukee leadoff hitter collected an RBI double and scored a run during a 4-3 road loss.

Twenty-seven year old southpaw Robert Gasser (0-3 4.88 ERA) will make his sixth start of the year for the Brewers. Last time out, Gasser fired five plus shutout frames and fanned five batters during a 2-1 home victory versus Milwaukee.

Braves Preview

The Atlanta Braves have dropped six of their previous ten games and are still 7.5 games clear of Philadelphia for NL East Division supremacy. During Saturday’s home victory, Atlanta walked it off in the bottom of the ninth inning on an Ozzie Albies two-run blast. Albies added a solo shot in the fifth inning and scored three runs for the Braves (48-27), who improved to 24-13 at home.

Atlanta rookie manager Walt Weiss will turn to twenty-seven year old righty Bryce Elder (5-4 3.15 ERA) on Sunday. In his last start, Elder (4 IP) was tagged for ten hits and six runs during an 8-1 road loss against New York.
