In Wednesday afternoon MLB playoff action, the Milwaukee Brewers will battle the Chicago Cubs from historic Wrigley Field. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. The top-seeded Brewers (2-0) finished nine games above .500 on the road during the regular season and are looking to clinch their third postseason series victory since 1982. In Game Two, Andrew Vaughn and Jackson Chourio each hit three-run blasts to power Milwaukee to a 7-3 road triumph against Chicago.

Twenty-five year old righty Quinn Priester (13-3 3.32 ERA) will take the mound for the Brewers in this matchup. Milwaukee won 19 consecutive games started by Priester from May until late September, but he was roughed up for ten runs in 14 plus innings versus the Cubs this year.

Cubs Preview

The Chicago Cubs won 50 of 81 home games during the regular season and will need to win consecutive home games to force a winner-take-all Game Five in Milwaukee. During Tuesday’s road loss, Chicago scored all of their runs in the opening frame on a three-run bomb from Seiya Suzuki. SP Shota Imanaga (0-1) gave up four runs in two plus innings and took the loss for the Cubs.

Chicago manager Craig Counsell will turn to veteran right-hander Jameson Taillon (11-7 3.68 ERA) on Wednesday. In the wild card round, Taillon fired four shutout frames and fanned four batters during a 3-1 home victory versus San Diego.
