The Sunday MLB schedule will get underway with a battle between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Cincinnati Reds from the Great American Ball Park. Last night, Milwaukee DH William Contreras hit his 14th home run of the year during a 5–3 road loss against Cincinnati. David Hamilton went 2-for-3 and scored the other run for the Brewers.

Twenty-five year old left-hander Kyle Harrison (10-4 3.45 ERA) will take the mound for the Brewers in this matchup. Last time out, Harrison (3.2 IP) was roughed up for ten hits and nine runs during an ugly 17-3 road loss against Chicago. On the year, Harrison has struck out 130 batters across 107 frames.

Reds Preview

The Cincinnati Reds have won six of their last ten games and are trying to climb out of the NL Central Division basement. During Saturday’s home victory, 2B Matt McLain put Cincinnati ahead to stay with a seventh inning solo shot. SS Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with his 22nd long ball. Veteran 3B Eugenio Suarez went 2-for-4 and scored a run for the Reds (68-74), who improved to 35-38 at home.

Cincinnati skipper Terry Francona will turn to struggling right-hander Brady Singer (5-13 4.83 ERA) in the series finale. The Reds have dropped Singer’s previous five starts and he has given up 17 runs over his last 28 innings.
