Milwaukee Brewers vs Los Angeles Dodgers Picks and Predictions for Thursday October 15 2026
The Milwaukee Brewers are back at Dodger Stadium on Thursday, October 15, 2026, for Game 4 of the NLCS against Los Angeles. First pitch is at 8:00 PM ET on FS1. Milwaukee just beat the Dodgers 6-2, and now the Brewers are up 3-0 in the series. One more win and they’re heading to the World Series. The Dodgers are favored around -175, with Milwaukee getting +145 and the total at 7.5 runs. I’m taking the Brewers again. Look, I know Los Angeles has Tyler Glasnow going Thursday. He’s been excellent in October. But Milwaukee just hit three home runs against Blake Snell and held the Dodgers to five hits. How many more chances are we supposed to give this Los Angeles lineup? Three games, three losses. I’ll take Milwaukee at plus money. Make sure you are ready to finish out the MLB playoffs with our free MLB picks.
Starting Pitchers
Tyler Glasnow is scheduled to start for Los Angeles. He’s carrying a 1.93 postseason ERA with five strikeouts in his most recent playoff appearance. He’s also posted a 1.73 ERA over seven postseason outings with the Dodgers. That’s pretty good pitching. The one thing that worries me is the walks. Glasnow issued five in his Division Series start. Milwaukee has been taking advantage of mistakes, and giving this team free baserunners isn’t a great idea. Blake Snell found that out Wednesday. He struck out nine, but the Brewers hit three home runs against him. Glasnow could absolutely shut Milwaukee down for six innings. He’s good enough. But I wouldn’t assume that’s happening just because the Dodgers need a win.
Milwaukee hasn’t officially confirmed its starter. Dustin May has been mentioned as a possibility, but the club’s probable-pitcher listing still has Thursday as TBD. That’s worth checking. Robert Gasser gave Milwaukee five scoreless innings Wednesday, allowing three hits and one walk. Then the bullpen took over. Abner Uribe had a rough sixth inning, allowing two runs while recording just one out. DL Hall cleaned things up with 2⅓ scoreless innings, and Trevor Megill finished the game. Milwaukee has been getting terrific relief pitching throughout this series. The concern is how much work those arms have been doing. Four games in five days can catch up with a bullpen. I’d want to see the pitching plan before betting too heavily.
Milwaukee Brewers Are One Win From The World Series
Milwaukee went 103-59 during the regular season and is now 6-1 in the postseason. That’s some pretty good baseball. The Brewers beat San Diego three games to one in the Division Series and have won three straight against Los Angeles. Wednesday’s game might have been the most impressive of the bunch. Milwaukee grabbed an early 1-0 lead, watched the Dodgers go ahead 2-1 in the sixth, then answered with three runs in the seventh. Didn’t waste any time getting the lead back. Two home runs in that inning changed everything. The Brewers added another run in the eighth and one more in the ninth. Final score, 6-2. Pat Murphy has to love the way his team responded after falling behind. They didn’t panic. They just kept playing baseball.

The Brewers have scored 15 runs in three NLCS games and allowed seven. They’ve won a 2-1 pitching game, a 7-4 game and now a 6-2 game. That’s what I like. They aren’t depending on one way to win. Milwaukee had nine hits Wednesday, including three home runs. The bullpen has been excellent for most of the series, and Gasser just gave it five shutout innings before handing over the ball. The Dodgers have had trouble getting anything going against this staff. Milwaukee also hasn’t been making many defensive mistakes. Zero errors Wednesday. That matters when you’re trying to finish off a playoff series. Give the other team extra outs in October and things can get ugly quickly.
Wednesday’s offense came from different spots in the lineup. Three home runs, including two in the seventh inning, and nine hits overall. Milwaukee went only 1-for-5 with runners in scoring position, so it wasn’t exactly putting together a bunch of perfect innings. The long ball took care of that. The pitching deserves just as much credit. Gasser threw 72 pitches in five scoreless innings, Hall allowed one hit over 2⅓, and Megill didn’t allow a hit in the final 1⅓. That’s a pretty good way to finish a game. The bullpen has been doing plenty of work lately, though. I wouldn’t ignore that. If Thursday turns into another game where Milwaukee needs six innings from its relievers, things could get interesting. But this team has been finding answers all postseason.
Los Angeles Dodgers Are Running Out Of Time
Los Angeles won 100 games during the regular season. Now the Dodgers are one loss away from going home. That’s baseball for you. Wednesday was especially frustrating. They trailed 1-0 for most of the night, finally scored twice in the sixth and took a 2-1 lead. Then Milwaukee came right back with three in the seventh. Just like that, the lead was gone. The Dodgers didn’t score again. Los Angeles has now lost 2-1, 7-4 and 6-2 in this series. Three games, seven total runs. That’s not going to beat a team playing as well as Milwaukee. Dave Roberts has tried moving the lineup around. I understand why. But eventually somebody has to start getting hits when runners are on base.
The Dodgers managed five hits Wednesday. Five. They went 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position and left eight men on base. The two runs came on a sixth-inning double, and that was pretty much the offense. Los Angeles has scored seven runs in three games. Milwaukee has 15. That’s a big difference, especially when the Dodgers were supposed to have one of the most dangerous lineups in baseball. The pitching hasn’t been perfect, either. Snell struck out nine Wednesday, but he allowed three home runs and four earned runs in six innings. The bullpen gave up two more. Los Angeles needs somebody to stop Milwaukee from scoring late. Otherwise, it won’t matter what the offense does.
The lineup has been struggling from top to bottom. Several regulars are batting under .200 in the postseason, and the Dodgers haven’t been getting enough extra-base hits. They had one double Wednesday and no home runs. That’s pretty tough when the other team hits three. Los Angeles does have Glasnow going Thursday, and that’s probably its best reason for optimism. He’s capable of keeping Milwaukee quiet long enough for the offense to find something. But look at what’s happened so far. The Dodgers haven’t been able to string together hits, and the Brewers have been getting the big outs. I wouldn’t be shocked if Los Angeles finally wins one. There’s too much talent here to assume a sweep is automatic. But I’m not laying a big moneyline price on a team that’s lost three straight and scored seven runs.
Milwaukee Brewers vs Los Angeles Dodgers Picks and Predictions
Moneyline Pick: Milwaukee Brewers +145
I’m taking Milwaukee at +145. I know Glasnow could ruin the whole thing. He’s been terrific in the playoffs, and the Dodgers are going to be desperate Thursday. Nobody wants to get swept at home with a trip to the World Series on the line. But what have we actually seen from Los Angeles? Seven runs in three games. Five hits Wednesday. And now I’m supposed to lay -175? No thanks. Milwaukee has been playing better baseball. The Brewers hit three home runs in Game 3, got five scoreless innings from Gasser and finished with another strong bullpen performance. The unknown starter makes me a little nervous. If Milwaukee goes with a short outing and the bullpen gets tired, the Dodgers could finally break through. But I’m getting plus money on a team that’s won three straight against this opponent. I’ll take that. Give me Milwaukee +145.
Total Pick: Under 7.5 Runs
I’ll take Under 7.5 runs, although Wednesday’s eight-run game is a reminder that this isn’t automatic. Milwaukee’s power showed up, and three home runs can ruin an under pretty quickly. The Brewers could get to Glasnow if he’s walking people again. That’s the concern. But Los Angeles has scored only seven runs in three games, and Glasnow is carrying a 1.93 postseason ERA. I think he gives the Dodgers a chance to keep this close. Milwaukee’s pitching has been terrific, too. The unknown starter is the biggest question. If the Brewers have to go to their bullpen early, I’m going to be less comfortable with this pick. But I don’t see the Dodgers suddenly scoring six or seven after what we’ve watched this week. Milwaukee doesn’t need another three-homer game to win, either. Something like 4-2 Brewers sounds reasonable. I’ll take the under.
Final Picks: Milwaukee Brewers Moneyline +145 and Under 7.5 Runs.
