Cardinals Preview

The St. Louis Cardinals have split their previous ten games and are 7.5 games back of the Brewers. During Monday’s home loss, St. Louis 3B Jose Fermin went 2-for-3 with an RBI. SS Masyn Winn added a pair of hits and drove in a run. SP Dustin May tossed four plus scoreless frames and fanned seven batters but did not factor in decision for the Cardinals (47-41). 

The Cardinals will counter with twenty-five year old righty Michael McGreevy (3-7 3.12 ERA) in this contest. Last time out, McGreevy (6 IP) allowed three hits and a pair of runs during a 5-1 road loss against Atlanta.

Milwaukee SP Brandon Woodruff has been placed on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation. Through 89 games, Milwaukee ranks 11th in OPS and 5th in runs scored.
