Brewers Preview

NL Central Division rivals will square off on Wednesday afternoon, when the Milwaukee Brewers and the St. Louis Cardinals wrap up their series from Busch Stadium. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. The Brewers (18-16) have split their first 16 road games and are 4.5 games out of first place. On Monday, Milwaukee OF Jackson Chourio collected four hits and scored a run during a 6-3 road loss against St. Louis.

Twenty-four year old righty Jacob Misiorowski (2-2 2.84 ERA) has the talent to win a Cy Young award for the Brewers. Through 38 innings of work, Misiorowski leads the majors with 59 strikeouts and owns a sparkling 1.00 WHIP.

Cardinals Preview

The St. Louis Cardinals have won seven of their last ten games and trail division leading Chicago by two games. During Monday’s home victory, DH Ivan Herrera staked St. Louis to a 4-0 lead after four innings with a three-run double. Rookie 2B J.J. Wetherholt added a two-run single for the Cardinals (21-14), who improved to 10-9 at home.

The Cardinals will counter with twenty-six year old southpaw Matthew Liberatore (1-1 4.50 ERA) on Wednesday. Last time out, Liberatore (5.2 IP) allowed five hits and two runs during a 7-2 home victory versus Los Angeles.

Brewers vs Cardinals Pick

St. Louis OF Lars Nootbaar (heels) is getting close to a rehab assignment and is expected to make his season debut later this month. Through 35 games, Milwaukee ranks 23rd in OPS and 8th in runs scored. For the season, St. Louis ranks 8th in OPS and 9th in runs scored. Take the Brewers to win on the road. Final Score Prediction, Milwaukee Brewers win 5-3.
