Thirty-year old righty Bailey Ober (5-2 3.63 ERA) will head to the hill for the Twins in this contest. Minnesota has won Ober’s previous two starts and he has allowed just three runs over his last 14 innings. Ober ranks 23rd in the majors with a 1.07 WHIP.

Red Sox Preview

The Boston Red Sox have dropped 16 of their first 24 home games and are tied with Baltimore for the worst overall record in the AL East Division. During yesterday’s home loss, Boston batters went 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position and left eight men on base. OF Ceddanne Rafaela delivered an RBI double that scored Mickey Gasper in a losing effort for the Red Sox (22-29).

Boston interim manager Chad Tracy will give the nod to veteran right-hander Sonny Gray (5-1 2.93 ERA) on Sunday. Last time out, Gray (6 IP) allowed one run and fanned nine batters during a 3-1 road victory against Kansas City.
