Twenty-five year old righty Taj Bradley (9-3 3.59 ERA) has flourished in his first full season with the Twins. Bradley has pitched Minnesota to five consecutive victories and he has allowed just eight runs across his last 31 frames.

Cubs Preview

The Chicago Cubs have won 27 of their first 47 home games and are sitting atop the National League Wild Card standings. During Friday’s home loss, Chicago batters went 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position and left six men on base. SP Colin Rea (7-6) gave up three runs in six innings and took the loss for the Cubs (54-43), who trail NL Central Division leading Milwaukee by 5.5 games.

Thirty-five year old southpaw Matthew Boyd (5-1 4.50 ERA) will make his tenth start of the season for the Cubs. Through 46 innings of work, Boyd has limited the opposition to five long balls and struck out 47 batters while posting a respectable 1.28 WHIP.
