Twenty-six year old righty Zebby Matthews (1-1 1.38 ERA) will make his third start of the season for the Twins. Last time out, Matthews (6 IP) gave up a pair of runs and struck out six batters during a 2-1 home loss versus Minnesota.

White Sox Preview

The Chicago White Sox are four games above .500 at home and trail AL Central Division leading Cleveland by 4.5 games. On Sunday, Chicago 1B Miguel Vargas homered and scored twice during an 8-5 road loss against San Francisco. SP Noah Schultz (2-4) was tagged for six runs in four innings and took the loss for the White Sox (26-26).

The White Sox will counter with thirty-one year old southpaw Anthony Kay (3-1 4.27 ERA) on Monday. Chicago has won Kay’s previous three starts and he has allowed just four runs (3 ER) across his last 16 plus frames.
