Thirty year old right-hander Joe Ryan (6-5 2.85 ERA) is fresh off his second consecutive All-Star Game appearance for the Twins. Through 110 plus innings, Ryan ranks ninth in the majors with 128 strikeouts and owns a sparkling 1.05 WHIP.

Guardians Preview

The Cleveland Guardians have split their previous ten games and trail AL Central Division leading Chicago by one game. On Sunday, Cleveland leadoff hitter Steven Kwan went 2-for-4 and scored the only run during a 7-1 home loss versus Pittsburgh. SP Joey Cantillo (8-5) gave up four runs in five innings and took the loss foe the Guardians (52-48), who fell to 25-24 at home.

The Guardians will counter with twenty-seven year old righty Tanner Bibee (3-9 3.90 ERA) in the series opener. In his last start, Bibee (6.2 IP) allowed five hits and one run during a 4-1 road victory against Miami.
