Last night, Pittsburgh committed a pair of errors and DH Bryan Reynolds went 2-for-3 with a home run during a 7-2 home loss versus Chicago. SP Paul Skenes (6-5) struck out ten batters in five plus innings and was the hard luck loser for the Pirates, who fell to 29-28 overall.

The Pirates will counter with thirty year old right-hander Mitch Keller (5-2 3.64 ERA) in the series opener. In his last start, Keller (6 IP) limited Toronto to one run and fanned five batters during a 4-1 road victory.
