In Thursday afternoon MLB action, the Minnesota Twins and the Texas Rangers will square off from Globe Life Field. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. The Twins (68-90) have dropped seven of their previous ten games and have their sights set on the future. Last night, Minnesota DH Byron Buxton crushed his 32nd long ball during a 4-2 road loss against Texas.

Minnesota manager Rocco Baldelli has yet to announce a starting pitcher for the series finale. The Twins rank near the bottom of the majors with a 4.65 ERA and have logged just 38 quality starts.

Rangers Preview

The Texas Rangers have lost eight of their last ten games and have been eliminated from postseason contention. During Wednesday’s home victory, Texas took the lead for good on a seventh inning single from Billy McKinney. SP Jacob deGrom struck out eight batters in five innings and did not factor in the decision for the Rangers (80-78), who improved to 48-32 at home.

Thirty year old righty Tyler Mahle (6-3 2.20 ERA) is making his second start since returning from injury. Mahle, who was sidelined with a rotator cuff strain, has limited the opposition to four home runs across 81 plus frames.
