MLB Player Props for Friday, September 5 2025
We are dipping back into the MLB player props market tonight. Last night we cashed two of our three best MLB props, including a nice +145 winner on Adam Frazier over 1.5 total bases.
With a full Friday slate, the board is bursting with enticing MLB picks. We have narrowed it down to three MLB props as we look to pad the bankroll, heading into a massive sports weekend.

Today's Best MLB Prop Bets
- Jake Irvin Under 3.5 Strikeouts (-145)
- Aaron Judge Over 1.5 Total Bases (-110)
- Trevor Story Over 1.5 Total Bases (-105)
Jake Irvin Under 3.5 Strikeouts (-145)
We look to get on the board early Friday as we are on the Nationals vs Cubs afternoon clash at Wrigley. We are laying a bit more juice here than we generally like, but this line is just a bit too good to pass up.
Jake Irvin has been terrible of late, posting an ugly 8.78 ERA across six August starts. Over those six starts he cleared this number exactly ZERO times, averaging just 2.7 strikeouts per game. In fact, the last time Irvin posted more than 3 strikeouts in a game was all the way back on July 13. His strikeout rate has fallen off a cliff as the season has progressed.
On the other side, the Cubs are among the best contact teams in the Majors, ranking 4th from the bottom in total strikeouts.
The combination of a low strikeout pitcher who is mired in a massive slump, going up against a great contact team, looks like a clear cut recipe for an under.
In this case, the juice is worth the squeeze.
Aaron Judge Over 1.5 Total Bases (-110)
We love Aaron Judge to have a big Friday night in the Bronx, in a key Blue Jays vs Yankees AL East showdown.
Judge will go up against Kevin Gausman who he has obliterated over the years. Judge has 46 career at bats against the Jays hurler, and is hitting a whopping .356 with an incredible 1.322 OPS which includes six home runs.
A home run is the logical way we win this bet, but we like keeping our options open. A two hit night or one screaming liner in the gap will cash this ticket.
Given his home run prop line sits at just +196, playing Judge total bases feels like the safer and better value proposition.
Trevor Story Over 1.5 Total Bases (-105)
We are going out west from our final prop and dipping our toes back in the total bases pool as we look at Red Sox vs Diamondbacks.
Trevor Story has caught our eye given his recent form and historical (albeit limited) career success against Dbacks starter Eduardo Rodriguez.
Story has been slamming the ball all week with a .937 OPS over the past seven days. He ranks inside the top 20% in exit velocity and profiles well against Rodriguez who does allow hard contact.
In 10 career AB's Trevor Story has laced 5 hits and has a 1.245 OPS. We like our changes of at least one extra base knock tonight.
