Last night, New York 1B Mark Vientos crushed a two-run blast and OF Tyrone Taylor added a solo shot during a 14-3 road loss against Atlanta.

Twenty-four year old righty Nolan McLean (5-5 3.78 ERA) will make his 18th start of the season for the Mets. Through 95 plus innings, McLean ranks 12th in the majors with 113 strikeouts and owns a solid 1.12 WHIP.

Braves Preview

The Atlanta Braves have won 27 of their first 43 home games and hold a three-game lead over Philadelphia for the top spot in the NL East Division. During Saturday’s home victory, Atlanta OF Eli White started the scoring with a solo shot and added a three-run double. SP Chris Sale (9-6) allowed three runs in five innings to earn the win for the Braves, who improved to 52-35 overall.

The Braves will counter with thirty-three year old southpaw Martin Perez (6-5 3.27 ERA) in the series finale. Last time out, Perez (5 IP) gave up five hits and four runs during a 5-2 home loss versus St. Louis.
