Mets Preview

In Wednesday night MLB action, the New York Mets will battle the Colorado Rockies from Coors Field. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. On Monday, rookie OF Carson Benge hit a solo shot and 1B Mark Vientos added a two-run single to lead New York to a 4-2 road victory against Colorado.

Twenty-six year old righty Christian Scott (0-0 4.26 ERA) will make his third start of the year for the Mets. Last time out, Scott (5 IP) allowed two runs and retired eight batters by strikes during a 4-3 road victory against the Los Angeles Angels.

Rockies Preview

The Colorado Rockies are looking to snap a five-game losing streak and are trapped in the NL West Division basement. During Monday’s home loss, Colorado batters went 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position and left four men on base. OF Mickey Moniak doubled and tripled in a losing effort for the Rockies (14-22), who fell to 7-10 at home.

Thirty-seven year old southpaw Jose Quintana (1-2 4.07 ERA) will face his former team for the second time in his last three starts. In late April, Quintana (5.1 IP) limited the Mets to one run and fanned five batters during a 3-1 road victory.

New York SS Francisco Lindor (calf) will remain shut down for the next couple of weeks and is targeting an early June return. Through 36 games, New York ranks 30th in OPS and 29th in runs scored.
