Thirty-four year old southpaw Sean Manaea (4.56 ERA) will make his seventh start of the year for the Mets. Last time out, Manaea (7 IP) allowed three runs (2 ER) and struck out six batters during a 7-3 home victory versus Kansas City.

Phillies Preview

The Philadelphia Phillies are three games above .500 at home and are sitting 2.5 games back of division leading Atlanta. During Thursday’s home loss, Philadelphia batters were limited to four hits and were punched out nine times. SP Aaron Nola (3-7) gave up three runs in six innings and took the loss. SS Trea Turner hit his 11th home run of the year for the Phillies (54-44).

Twenty-eight year old left-hander Jesus Luzardo (8-4 3.51 ERA) will head to the hill for the Phillies in this contest. Philadelphia has won Luzardo’s previous nine starts and he has allowed just 17 runs (13 ER) across his last 54 plus frames.
