The Philadelphia Phillies are four games above .500 at home and trail NL East Division leading Atlanta by two games. During yesterday’s home victory, leadoff hitter Trea Turner sparked the Philadelphia offense by going 3-for-4 and scoring three runs. All-Star OF Kyle Schwarber crushed his major league leading 33rd home run and Turner added a solo shot for the Phillies, who moved to 55-44 overall.

Twenty-eight year old righty Alan Rangel (4.19 ERA) will make his third career major league start for the Phillies. Last time out, Rangel (4.1 IP) walked three batters and gave up three runs during an 11-5 road loss against Cincinnati.
