Thirty-four year old southpaw Sean Manaea (3-5 4.33 ERA) will head to the hill for the Mets in this contest. In his last start, Manaea (6 IP) allowed two runs and struck out seven batters during a 6-2 road victory against Cleveland.

Pirates Preview

The Pittsburgh Pirates have dropped eight of their previous 11 games and are running out of time to climb back into the National League Wild Card picture. During Saturday’s home victory, leadoff hitter Jake Mangum went 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and an RBI to spark the Pittsburgh offense. SP Bubba Chandler (5-8) tossed six scoreless innings and struck out five batters to earn the win for the Pirates (58-61), who improved to 30-29 at home.

Pittsburgh manager Don Kelly will give the nod to twenty-five year old righty Jared Jones (2-3 4.02 ERA) in the series finale. Through 56 innings of work, Jones has fanned 62 batters and surrendered nine long balls while posting a solid 1.11 WHIP.
