Three-time All-Star Max Fried (19-5 2.86 ERA) will toe the rubber for the Yankees in this matchup. Last season, Fried led the majors with 19 wins and an impressive 1.10 WHIP. The thirty-two year old southpaw fanned 189 batters across 195 plus innings.

Giants Preview

The San Francisco Giants have not won a playoff series in more than a decade and have the unenviable task of trying to dethrone the NL West Division Champion Los Angeles Dodgers. Newly hired manager Tony Vitello should breathe some energy into a team that finished .500 a season ago. 2B Luis Arraez was added to be a table setter and 3B Matt Chapman has hit 48 home runs the past two years.

Twenty-nine year old righty Logan Webb (15-11 3.22 ERA) has spent his entire seven-year major league career in San Francisco. Webb is the definition of a workhorse and has given the Giants 200 plus innings in each of the last three years.
