Twenty-seven year old southpaw Jesus Luzardo (12-6 4.05 ERA) will head to the hill for the Phillies in this contest. Last time out, Luzardo fired six plus shutout frames and fanned seven batters during a 3-1 home loss versus Atlanta.

Miami Marlins Preview

The Miami Marlins are looking to snap a four-game losing streak and are on the verge of being eliminated from postseason contention. During Friday’s home loss, Miami RP George Soriano was roughed up for four runs and recorded just three outs. C Brian Navarreto hit a two-run blast in a losing effort for the Marlins (65-76), who fell to 31-38 at home.

The Marlins will give the nod to 2022 National League Cy Young Award winner Sandy Alcantara (8-11 5.66 ERA) on Saturday. In his last start, Alcantara (7 IP) allowed one run and struck out six batters during a 5-1 road victory against New York.
