On Sunday, 3B Jose Ramirez had two of Cleveland’s three hits during a lifeless 5-0 home loss versus San Diego. SP Tanner Bibee (4-13) surrendered three runs in six innings and took the loss for the Guardians, who fell to 60-65 overall.
Cleveland skipper Stephen Vogt will give the nod to thirty-one year old southpaw Foster Griffin (13-4 3.25 ERA) in the series opener. Last time out, Griffin (5 IP) gave up three runs (1 ER) and fanned three batters during a 6-4 road victory against Detroit.
