San Francisco Giants Preview

San Francisco is coming off a 13-3 loss to Pittsburgh after dropping three of its last four games overall. The Giants struggled badly on the mound in the series finale and continue to have problems generating consistent offense during extended stretches. San Francisco has also gone just 6-12 away from home this season.

The Giants are hitting .241 with a .284 on-base percentage and .357 slugging percentage, producing 123 runs on 314 hits. Luis Arraez leads the lineup with a .312 batting average and 44 hits, while Casey Schmitt has added six home runs, 18 RBI, and a .529 slugging percentage. Heliot Ramos owns 16 RBI, and Jung Hoo Lee is batting .268 with 38 hits. San Francisco has totaled only 25 home runs this season, one of the lower marks in the National League.

The Dodgers continue to hold first place in the NL West because of strong offensive production and one of the best pitching staffs in baseball. Los Angeles has also played well at home with a 13-7 record at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers are hitting .269 with a .347 on-base percentage and .440 slugging percentage, producing 201 runs on 355 hits. Andy Pages has been outstanding with a .333 batting average, nine home runs, and 35 RBI, while Max Muncy has added nine home runs and a .532 slugging percentage. Freddie Freeman is batting .272 with 20 RBI, and Shohei Ohtani owns a .382 OBP with six home runs. Los Angeles has totaled 52 home runs and continues to rank among the best offensive teams in MLB.

The Dodgers have also been excellent on the mound with a 3.17 ERA and 1.12 WHIP while limiting opponents to a .215 batting average.
