Orioles Preview

The Baltimore Orioles have dropped six of their previous ten games and are trapped in the AL East Division basement. On Sunday, Baltimore batters managed just four hits and struck out 13 times during a 7-1 home loss versus New York in ten innings. C Samuel Basallo hit his fourth home run in a losing effort for the Orioles (73-83), who fell to 37-41 at home.

The Orioles will counter with twenty-nine year old righty Dean Kremer (10-10 4.39 ERA) in the series opener. Last time out, Kremer (5.2 IP) allowed four hits and two runs during an 8-7 road victory against Chicago.
