White Sox Preview

The Chicago White Sox have won eight of their last 11 games and still own the worst overall record in the American League. During Wednesday’s home victory, Chicago leadoff hitter Mike Tauchman went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and a run scored. OF Andrew Benintendi added his 16th home run of the year for the White Sox (56-90), who improved to 31-43 at home.

Rookie right-hander Shane Smith (5-7 3.95 ERA) has quietly put together a nice season for the White Sox. In his last start, Smith (5 IP) gave up four runs and struck out six batters during a 7-5 road victory against Detroit.
