In Sunday afternoon MLB interleague action, the Texas Rangers will take on the Atlanta Braves from Truist Park. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. On Saturday, leadoff hitter Joc Pederson homered and scored three runs to lead Texas to a 7-6 road victory against Atlanta. Veteran OF Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-5 and drove in three runs.

Texas manager Skip Schumaker has not announced a starting pitcher for the series finale. The Rangers currently rank 18th in the majors with a 4.25 ERA and a respectable 1.27 WHIP. Texas starters have logged 31 quality starts this season.

Braves Preview

The Atlanta Braves have dropped six of their previous ten games and are sitting atop the NL East Division standings. During yesterday’s home loss, Atlanta batters went 1-for-4 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base. Michael Harris II and Eli White each homered in a losing effort for the Braves (56-41), who fell to 28-19 at home.

Thirty year old right-hander Grant Holmes (5-4 3.61 ERA) has developed into a reliable starting option for the Braves. Last time out, Holmes fired five shutout frames and fanned five batters during a 3-0 road victory against Pittsburgh.
