Blue Jays Preview

AL East Division foes will square off on Saturday afternoon, when the Toronto Blue Jays and the Baltimore Orioles continue their four-game series from Camden Yards. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. The Blue Jays (29-29) are riding a four-game winning streak and are currently in third place in the division standings. Last night, All-Star 1B Vladimir Guerrero Jr. delivered a two-run double in the eighth inning to lift Toronto to a 6-5 road victory.

Twenty-two year old righty Trey Yesavage (2-2 2.25 ERA) will head to the hill for the Blue Jays in this contest. Through 32 innings of work, Yesavage has not surrendered a home run and has struck out 35 batters while posting a sparkling 1.06 WHIP.

Orioles Preview

The Baltimore Orioles have split their previous ten games and are 11 games out of first place in the competitive AL East Division standings. During Friday’s home loss, Baltimore took a 5-0 advantage after five innings powered by solo shots from Pete Alonso and Samuel Basallo. 2B Jackson Holliday also went deep and scored a pair of runs for the Orioles (26-32), who fell to 17-15 at home.

Baltimore skipper Craig Albernaz will turn to twenty-seven year old righty Brandon Young (3-1 3.47 ERA) on Saturday. The Orioles have won Young’s previous four starts and he has allowed nine runs (7 ER) across his last 21 plus frames.

Blue Jays vs Orioles Pick

Baltimore 1B Ryan Mountcastle is currently on the 60-day injured list with a broken foot and could return late next month. Through 58 games, Toronto ranks 23rd in OPS and 22nd in runs scored. For the season, Baltimore ranks 12th in OPS and 11th in runs scored. Take the under. Final Score Prediction, Toronto Blue Jays win 5-1.
