Thirty-six year old southpaw Patrick Corbin (2-3 4.57 ERA) is scuffling after starting the season strong for the Blue Jays. Over his last three starts, Corbin has been roughed up for 17 hits and 11 runs across 11 plus frames.

Cubs Preview

The Chicago Cubs have won six of their last ten games and are 6.5 games off the pace in the NL Central Division race. During yesterday’s home victory, C Carson Kelly’s grand slam highlighted Chicago’s seven-run explosion in the opening frames. DH Seiya Suzuki went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a pair of runs scored for the Cubs (40-36), who improved to 23-16 at home. SP Ben Brown (4-2) allowed two runs in six innings to earn the win.

Chicago skipper Craig Counsell will turn to veteran right-hander Colin Rea (5-5 5.35 ERA) on Saturday. In his last start, Counsell (4.2 IP) was tagged for six hits and four runs during a 5-1 road loss against San Francisco.
