Blue Jays Preview

The Sunday MLB schedule will get underway with a matinee between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Minnesota Twins from Target Field. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. The Blue Jays (16-17) have won six of their last ten games and are six games off the pace in the AL East Division race. On Saturday, Davis Schneider’s two-run double highlighted an eight-run eighth inning as part of Toronto’s 11-4 road triumph against Minnesota.

Twenty-three year old righty Trey Yesavage (1-0 0.00 ERA) will make his fifth career major league start for the Blue Jays. Through his first 19 plus innings, Yesavage has retired 19 batters by strikes and has not surrendered a home run.

Twins Preview

The Minnesota Twins have dropped eight of their previous ten games and are stuck near the bottom of the AL Central Division standings. During yesterday’s home loss, leadoff hitter Byron Buxton started the scoring for Minnesota with his tenth home run of the year. RP Luis Garcia gave up four runs and took the loss for the Twins (14-20), who fell to 9-10 at home.

The Twins will counter with twenty-nine year old righty Joe Ryan (2-3 3.76 ERA) in the series finale. Minnesota has dropped Ryan’s previous three starts and he has given up nine runs (7 ER) over his last 17 innings.

Blue Jays vs Twins Pick

Toronto C Alejandro Kirk (thumb) has begun a throwing program and hopes to return to the lineup later this month. Through 33 games, Toronto ranks 24th in OPS and 25th in runs scored. For the season, Minnesota ranks 17th in OPS and 10th in runs scored. Take the under. Final Score Prediction, Minnesota Twins win 4-2.
