The New York Yankees are four games above .500 at home and are sitting comfortably atop the American League Wild Card standings. During yesterday’s home loss, New York batters went 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base. 1B Luis Garcia Jr. cracked a two-run blast for the Yankees (73-56), who trail Tampa Bay by 3.5 games for first place in the AL East Division.

New York manager Aaron Boone will turn to thirty-three year old southpaw Carlos Rodon (4-2 3.22 ERA) on Sunday. Last time out, Rodon (4 IP) allowed one run and fanned four batters during a 3-1 road victory against Baltimore.
