Washington enters this matchup at 25-27 on the season, while Atlanta continues to dominate the National League with a stellar 36-16 record. The Nationals have surprisingly been one of the better offensive teams in baseball this season, totaling 438 hits and 284 runs, averaging 8.4 hits and 5.5 runs per game. Washington is expected to send Foster Griffin to the mound on Sunday. Griffin enters this matchup with a 3.53 ERA.

Braves Preview

The Braves, meanwhile, continue to look like one of the most complete teams in MLB. Atlanta has produced 475 hits and 281 runs, averaging approximately 9.1 hits and 5.4 runs per game, while also leading baseball with a dominant 3.08 team ERA. Ronald Acuña Jr., Matt Olson, and Austin Riley continue to anchor one of the league’s deepest lineups. Atlanta is projected to counter with JR Ritchie on the mound Sunday. Ritchie enters the game with a 3.32 ERA and has impressed early with his command and ability to limit hard contact.
