Twenty-five year old southpaw Mitchell Parker (7-15 5.87 ERA) will head to the hill for the Nationals in this contest. Through 145 plus innings, Parker has surrendered 23 long balls and sports a subpar 1.48 WHIP.

Marlins Preview

The Miami Marlins have dropped seven of their previous ten games and are a distant third place in the NL East Division standings. During Monday’s home loss, Miami OF Victor Mesa Jr. went 2-for-4 with a three-run blast. SP Janson Junk (6-3) was roughed up for six runs in four plus innings and took the loss for the Marlins (66-78), who fell to 32-40 at home.

Twenty-four year old righty Adam Mazur (0-2 5.74 ERA) will make his fourth start of the year for the Marlins. Last time out, Mazur (6 IP) was tagged for ten hits and five runs (4 ER) during a 5-2 road loss against Washington.
