The Hawks (38-31) have reeled off 11 consecutive victories and are suddenly just a half-game behind Orlando for sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Wednesday, Atlanta assisted on 36 of 55 made field goals and shot 54 percent overall during a 135-120 road triumph against Dallas.

Veteran G C.J. McCollum led all scorers with 24 points on 9-for-14 shooting and dropped seven dimes. Nickeil Alexander-Walker nailed 4-for-5 from long distance and finished with 22 points. All-Star F Jalen Johnson added 17 points (7-19 FG), 11 rebounds, and nine assists for the Hawks.

Rockets Preview

The Houston Rockets have won 23 of their first 33 home games and are a game out of fourth place in the Western Conference standings. The Rockets (41-27) rank eighth in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing 110 points per contest. On Wednesday, Houston was outscored by 11 points during the fourth quarter of a 124-116 home victory versus Los Angeles.

All-Star C Alperen Sengun led six Houston players in double figures with 27 points (10-15 FG) and ten assists. Houston G Amen Thompson scored 26 points on 11-for-19 shooting and secured 11 boards. All-Star F Kevin Durant added 18 points (7-11 FG) and six rebounds for the Rockets.
