In the series opener, Atlanta was outscored by nine points during the second half of a 113-102 road loss.

Veteran G C.J. McCollum led four Atlanta players in double figures with 26 points on 11-for-20 shooting. All-Star F Jalen Johnson scored 23 points (8-19 FG) and pulled down seven boards. Onyeka Okongwu added 19 points (4-6 3PT) and eight rebounds for the Hawks.

Knicks Preview

The New York Knicks won 30 of 40 home games during the regular season and are looking to win their first NBA title since 1973. The third-seeded Knicks ranked second in the league in offensive efficiency and averaged 116.5 points per contest. During Saturday’s home victory, New York converted 25 of 30 from the charity stripe and shot 48 percent from the three-point line.

All-Star G Jalen Brunson scored 17 of his game-high 28 points in the first quarter and dished out seven assists. All-Star F/C Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 25 points (10-10 FT), eight rebounds, and four assists. OG Anunoby added 19 points (6-9 FG) and eight boards for the Knicks.
