The Knicks (1-0) are led by first year head coach Mike Brown and are looking to win their first NBA title since 1973. On Wednesday, New York built a 15-point halftime advantage and held off a second-half Cleveland surge to earn a 119-111 home victory.
New York F OG Anunoby tallied a team-high 24 points on 9-for-17 shooting and secured 14 rebounds. All-Star G Jalen Brunson chipped in 23 points (12-13 FT) and five assists. Deuce McBride scored 15 points and finished with a plus 17 rating in 26 minutes off the bench for the Knicks.
