On Wednesday, Charlotte erupted for 77 points in the first half and shot 53 percent from the field during a 136-117 home victory versus Brooklyn.

Brandon Miller led a balanced Charlotte scoring attack with 25 points (8-19 FG) and seven assists. LaMelo Ball chipped in 20 points on 7-for-15 shooting and dropped eight dimes. Miles Bridges added 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Hornets, who connected on 17-for-36 from long distance.

76ers Preview

The Philadelphia 76ers were decimated by injuries last season and finished a hugely disappointing 13th in the Eastern Conference. The 76ers (1-0) have infused their veteran core with plenty of young talent and are looking to reach the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2001. On Wednesday, Philadelphia outscored Boston by 12 points in the fourth quarter to rally for a 117-116 road victory.

Philadelphia G Tyrese Maxey poured in a game-high 40 points on 13-for-24 shooting and dished out six assists. Rookie G V.J. Edgecombe made an impressive debut with 34 points (13-26 FG) and seven rebounds. The 76ers knocked down 16-for-40 from the three-point line.
