In the first game of a Friday night NBA on ESPN doubleheader, the Cleveland Cavaliers will battle the Detroit Pistons from Little Caesars Arena. For other NBA action see our NBA Predictions. The Cavaliers (37-23) have won eight of their previous ten games and are a half-game back of New York for third place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Wednesday, Cleveland allowed Milwaukee to shoot 55 percent from the field during a 118-116 road loss.

Cleveland C Jarrett Allen tallied a game-high 27 points (10-15 FG), 11 rebounds, and two steals. Dennis Schroder chipped in 26 points (8-14 FG) and five assists. Jaylon Tyson added 14 points and ten rebounds for the Cavaliers, who fell to 17-12 on the road.

Pistons Preview

The Detroit Pistons have won 22 of their first 29 home games and are sitting comfortably atop the Eastern Conference standings. The Pistons (43-14) rank second in the league in defensive efficiency and are limiting opponents to 109.5 points per contest. On Wednesday, Detroit assisted on 29 of 48 made field goals and shot 54 percent overall during a 124-116 home victory versus Oklahoma City.

MVP candidate Cade Cunningham continued his stellar play with 29 points (11-16 FG) and 13 assists. All-Star C Jalen Duren contributed 29 points on 12-for-17 shooting and secured 15 boards. Duncan Robinson added 16 points for the Pistons.
