The fourth-seeded Cavaliers (2-2) are winless in their first five road playoff games and are averaging a measly 100.2 points in those losses. In Game Four, Cleveland outscored Detroit by 17 points in the third quarter and converted 30-of-34 free-throw attempts to earn a 112-103 home victory.

All-Star G Donovan Mitchell (43 points) matched an NBA record with 39 points in the second half to fuel Cleveland to victory. All-Star G James Harden contributed 24 points (9-9 FT) and 11 assists. Evan Mobley added 17 points, eight rebounds, and five assists for the Cavaliers.

Pistons Preview

The Detroit Pistons have won five of their first six home playoff games and are seeking their first appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals since 2008. The top-seeded Pistons (2-2) rank second this postseason in defensive efficiency and are allowing a shade below 100 points on their home floor. During Monday’s road loss, Detroit connected on 10-for-23 from long range and shot 51 percent overall.

Caris LeVert led four Detroit players in double figures with 24 points on 10-for-16 shooting. Former number one overall draft pick Cade Cunningham scored 19 points (7-16 FG) and dropped six dimes. Veteran F Tobias Harris added 16 points (6-17 FG), eight rebounds, and five assists for the Pistons.
