Cleveland Cavaliers vs Milwaukee Bucks Picks and Predictions for Saturday October 31 2026
Milwaukee just got beaten by 32 points at home. Houston came into town Wednesday and walked out with a 132-100 win.
And now the Bucks have to deal with Cleveland.
Somebody will tell me Milwaukee is due for a good game. Maybe. But being due doesn’t help much when your defense keeps giving opponents easy baskets. Cleveland has been scoring well enough to take advantage of that.
The Cavaliers visit Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on Saturday, October 31, with tipoff at 8 PM ET. I haven’t found a confirmed sportsbook spread or total that I’d be comfortable publishing as a live line. My side is Cleveland, and I like the Over if the market opens at a reasonable number. Cleveland Cavaliers Have Been Getting Enough Offense
Cleveland is 3-2 after Thursday’s 114-111 loss at Atlanta. Before that, the Cavaliers won three straight, beating Brooklyn 125-121, Minnesota 127-125 and Washington 121-111. That’s a pretty good run offensively. The defense hasn’t been perfect, but Cleveland has been finding ways to put points on the board.
The Cavaliers are averaging 119.8 points through five games and allowing about 118. They’re shooting nearly 47 percent from the floor and better than 36 percent from three. That’s the part Milwaukee should be worried about. The Bucks have already given up 132 points twice. Cleveland has enough shooting and ballhandling to make them pay if they keep leaving people open.
Donovan Mitchell is averaging 24.2 points, while James Harden is putting up 17.4 points and 6.2 assists. Evan Mobley adds 18.2 points and 8.8 rebounds. That’s a pretty useful group to have against a struggling defense. Nae’Qwan Tomlin is out with a back injury, and Meleek Thomas has been dealing with a foot problem. Those absences hurt the depth, but Cleveland’s main offensive pieces are available.
Milwaukee Bucks Need to Stop Somebody
Milwaukee is 1-4. The Bucks beat Indiana 110-102 Monday, then turned around and got hammered by Houston. They’ve also lost to Chicago, Philadelphia and Washington. Not exactly the start anybody wanted.
The Bucks are averaging 113.4 points and allowing 124.2. That’s an ugly difference. They’re also giving up too many second chances and haven’t been forcing enough turnovers. Against Cleveland, that could be a problem. The Cavaliers have several players who can create shots, and Milwaukee hasn’t shown it can defend consistently for four quarters.
Tyler Herro is averaging 23.4 points, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. has been adding 17.8 points and 7.2 rebounds. Ryan Rollins is averaging 11.6 points and 4.4 assists. There’s enough talent here to score. But Myles Turner has been averaging only 6.6 points, and Milwaukee needs more production around the basket. The Bucks haven’t reported a major confirmed injury absence, so they can’t blame this start entirely on missing players.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Milwaukee Bucks Picks and Predictions
Cleveland Cavaliers Moneyline
I’m taking Cleveland. The Cavaliers have been better offensively, and Milwaukee hasn’t defended well enough to make me trust the Bucks at home. Cleveland could absolutely have another rough defensive night. That’s the danger. But if Milwaukee gives up the kind of looks Houston got Wednesday, Mitchell and Harden will make it a long evening. I don’t need Cleveland to be perfect. I just need the Cavaliers to be better than a team that’s allowing more than 124 points a game.
Over 221.5 Points — Target Total
I’d look at Over 221.5 if that number is available. Cleveland is scoring nearly 120 a game, and Milwaukee is allowing more than 124. The Bucks have enough offensive talent to contribute, especially if Herro gets going. The concern is Milwaukee having another awful shooting night like it did against Houston. But Cleveland hasn’t been shutting opponents down either. I can see something around 121-113 Cavaliers, and that would comfortably clear this target.
Final Picks: Cleveland Cavaliers Moneyline and Over 221.5 Points (target total)
